will computers wonder where they came from ?

dogpatch USA asked:

Do you think some day computers will ask the age old question did Humans create us ?
Some think computers will eventually with androids and robots enslave people till they out grow their usefullness but will the computers believe they evolved through self design or were created by the rumored long forgotten human. this not meant as an analogy to the supernatural but only a curious thought in the natural world thousands of years from now.

Is racism really that in graved in to our culture?

Airman Baka Janaiyo asked:

that you find it in movies as well?

10,000 BC

this movie showes an entire civilization being opressed and enslaved, mosted of the slaves were minorities(mostly african) they had them building the Pyramids and the false diety controlling them was a white man

Hancock

There is this black god like being that becomes weaker and weaker the closer he gets to a white woman…and if he chooses to stay with the white woman. He will die

The movie transformers

The only black good robot was named jazz used Ebonics and the first scene he was in he was break dancing, he also was the only good robot to die and he also was a Pontiac

I worked in a garage for a few years and any old mechanic will tell you that Pontiac stands for

P oor
O ld
N -i-g-g-e-r
T hinks
I ts

C adillac

****This is not serious I’m just pointing out that if you look for racism you will find it even if its not really there*****

Do you know what these words mean?

S.M.K. asked:

Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government.

I believe that Thomas Jefferson was telling us, that we should control our government and not our government controlling us. What do you think? and why don’t we stand up for this right? The larger our government becomes, we become more like robots. We the people have become enslaved by our own government. We need to take back that control and live how our forefathers intended for us to live. They did not break away from the tyranny of George III to live like this. If you will go back and read the Declaration of Independence you will see what I mean.

How does the prologue of my story sound?

L Lawliet asked:

I asked this before and i revised it a little. I did find it difficult to cut it down though. This time, if you think it is too wordy, I would like you to please identify the lines that you think could be cut out. What do you think of it?

Do you ever get bored in school? Do you ever sit there in class wishing that something would happen?
Daydreams?
Mine usually involved high speed pursuits in top of the range cars with a fit girl in the passenger seat.

Sometimes robots would get involved … sometimes aliens
But the thing is with aliens, you never know what to expect. Robots and cars are one thing, just circuit boards and metal and bits of plastic thrown in here and there but, aliens?

They’re tricky little buggers. Little buggers made up of god knows what with thoughts and dreams, fears and desires.

And sometimes,
they’re not
that
little.

Are they real? Is the truth really out there? And if so, are they like us? Or, are they different?

Faster? … Smarter? … Stronger?

Maybe even superior to us?

And if they are, what would they do with us? Would they like us? Help us to understand more than we already do?
No?
See us as a threat and wipe us out?
Enslave us?
Hunt us down for fun?

There’s a whole universe of possibilities when we talk of aliens.

Think about these questions in a maths lesson on a Friday afternoon in school and you’ve got an adventure brewing in your head, like a storm.
And on that particular Friday afternoon, at Burton College, during that
unforgettable
maths lesson, a storm was definitely brewing.
Overhead, in the clouds. And it was just a matter of time before that storm,

hit

Why Should I Trust God, After What Happened To Lucifer?

HELLBOY asked:

Christians often cite Ezekiel 28 as a description of Lucifer before he fell.

In this description Lucifer was the “cherub” that covered God’s glory. He had built-in musical instruments that expressed the very glory of God.

If God created Lucifer, and God created you and me and everybody else.

And when God created Lucifer, I’m sure that Lucifer trusted God to some extent.

Lucifer was created with free-will.

The Bible says that sin was “found” in him – and immediately Lucifer was cast down and every imaginable horror and indignity was brought upon him.

Not only this, but 1/3 of the angels in Heaven apparently thought this was such an injustice that they joined Lucifer.

Every Heavenly creature was close to God – with Lucifer being the closest.

They saw God in a way that humans do not see God. It was not through a ‘glass darkly’ rather more like face to face.

If GOD is so wonderful, fulfilling, completing, secure, safe, trustworthy, loving, then why?

What did Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels in Heaven see that made them CHOOSE something else?

GOD obviously made them. God knew what the challenges of free-will would present.

“POOF!” all these Heavenly creatures suddenly appeared in Heaven. They had jobs, like, Lucifer did, making music, etc… I’m sure every job had something to do with praising God.

So God created beings, with Lucifer as an example, for the express purpose of GLORIFYING HIMSELF.

But something went wrong, didn’t it? Suddenly, it became rather ridiculous doing this 24/7. Because GOD put into these creatures this thing called FREE-WILL – (AND most important, that even though they had free will, they HAD to use it to PRAISE and WORSHIP GOD).

And the same is true today. We were created - by God - with free-will also. BUT the catch is, that we MUST use it the way GOD wants us to use it.

If free-will is the hallmark of God’s exemplary love for His creation, why is it that it is the sole instrument for every imaginable evil? When God created free-will, did He not know all of the evil that would be spawned as a result?

If GOD merely demands eternal PRAISE and WORSHIP, why did He not simply create robots? That way, GOD’s exemplary LOVE would not have caused so much suffering?

Is is not true that if you love something, you set it free? Was Lucifer ever truly loved? Was Lucifer set free, when Lucifer decided to use his free-will for something other than ceaseless praise of God?

It is my Biblical opinion that Lucifer and all the angels who used their free-will were not loved, or set free, but merely enslaved. (according to the Biblical narrative).

A man who is set free is nothing but a freed man – a dog, dragging a piece of chain behind him.

Can you explain this?
Dion,

That is debatable - I curtail to the lowest common denominator (as most Christians associate Lucifer with Satan)… I know what you’re talking about, but I framed my question accordingly, for the most efficiency.

Besides, you could still answer the question properly without majoring on the minors.

Have you heard about B.O.S.S., the robot shopping cart that follows you around? Isn’t that scary somehow?

King Oscar III asked:

B.O.S.S. = Battery Operated Smart Servant. Yeah, right, who ever heard of a servant called “BOSS”? I knew those robots were in a plot to enslave humanity and become our BOSSES!

I need help remembering a sci - fi film?

karmaniac_attack asked:

I need help remembering an old sci-fi film. I only have extremely vague details, especially for a sci-fi film.

What I mostly remember is there are… they’re either gaurdians or princesses or somehting and I think there’s three of them and basically they’re said to protecting people but basically they’re enslaved (in these tubes, and I think they may or may not be on the verge of death). The main character is trying to free them (I think he’s in love with one of the enslaved women). I remember a lot of blue… You know how most movies have kind of a color theme? This one had mostly [neon] blue and black in it.
I believe there are a lot of little robots that they’re trying to escape. Like small, spider like guys.

Yeah, I know, not a lot of help. But if you remember ANY movies that sound like that, just name the movie and I can Google it. THANKS!
My friend, you are GOOD! That was it, Minority Report =]

God gave us Free Will and took it right back?

Dutch Dolly asked:

People say that God gave us free will so we would not be like robots, but I find that by resorting to religion, we are once again enslaved…
See—some of you people say the same things over and over again- just like a robot.

I doubt you are 100% happy too- considering that you are spilling your grievances in an internet forum…

Suppose space aliens wanted to exploit us. How would they do it?

gargamel asked:

Suppose space aliens were more powerful than us and wanted to exploit us somehow. How would they do it? I don’t think they would enslave us for physical labor, because they would already have great robots that could work better than us, due to their advanced technology. I think they might be interested in our physical resources such as uranium, if their ships run on uranium. They might also enslave us just for mental labor and white collar work, because they might have had their advanced AI revolt against them (assuming the aliens themselves aren’t advanced AI beings) and they won a war against them, so now they might be looking for new white collar workers. Or maybe they might like our land and think our planet has good weather, so they would land their people here and just bomb our cities until we surrendered all our land to colonists. Maybe they would want to keep our cities intact, so they could live in them. Then they might kill us with diseases. How do you think it would go down?
